10.01.1990 – Ph.D. in history with a doctoral thesis on "France and the Union of the Romanian Principalities (1855-1859)".

1982 - 1986 – lecturer at the Universal History Department with the Faculty of History at the "I. Creangă" Pedagogic Institute in Chişinău;
1990 - 1998 – scientific researcher, senior scientific researcher and coordinator at the History Institute within the Academy of Sciences in the Republic of Moldova;
1998 - 1999 – Head of the Universal History and International Relations Section within the History and International Relations Department of the Free International University in Moldova;
1999 – 2005 – coordinating scientific researcher and Head of the Modern History Department at the History Institute within the Academy of Sciences in the Republic of Moldova;
1991 - 1993 - member in the editing board of the "Patrimoniu" history magazine;
1996 - 2003 - member in the editing board of Moldova’s History Magazine;
