Showed an initial interest in the economic and social history of late feudalism (17th-18th centuries) in Wallachia, then in World War II history and the history of the Cold War. He traced back the genesis of the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact and its effects on Romania, while also analyzing Romania’s position in the German-Soviet relations (1939-1941).
